Dear current and former Loretto Volunteers, This year marks a special one for the Loretto Community as we celebrate 25 years of Loretto Volunteers! Since its inception in 1989, the Loretto Volunteer Program has engaged compassionate people like you in the gospel-inspired mission of the Loretto Community to extend the boundaries of justice and peace. Through a diversity of gifts and so much heart, volunteers have made lasting impacts on the lives of those they have served and one another alike. Twenty-five years, ten cities, more than 100 volunteers and dozens of peace rallies later – the spirit of the Loretto Volunteer Program is as vibrant as ever. We are grateful to you for growing with us – for co-creating the inclusive, faithful Volunteer Program that continues to inspire and challenge us to reach further. The evolution of the program is a testament to the ongoing commitment of folks like you to building a just and peaceful world. Our celebration of these 25 years will kick off this July at the Loretto Assembly, with a presentation that highlights the many people who have contributed to the program. There will be a proposal reviewed during this community-wide gathering that addresses the future of the volunteer program – suggesting concrete ways to ensure the long-term success of the program. Will you celebrate with us?!
We are excited to reconnect with former volunteers and would love to hear from you! Our hope is to continue to grow and maintain this network of alums, but please let us know if you wish to be taken off this list. Stay tuned for opportunities to show how much the Loretto Volunteer Program has meant to you. Warmly,
Molly Butler, Program Coordinator | [email protected] Claudia Calzetta, SL, Assistant Coordinator | [email protected]
