This summer, Loretto Volunteers is seeking two sustainability volunteers to live and work at the Loretto Motherhouse, a 780-acre farm and forest that is home to about 100 retired sisters and two retreat centers.  Volunteers will work on a variety of projects to green the Motherhouse and maintain the beautiful grounds, while also engaging in spiritual and intellectual reflection with community members.

Needs include: flower and vegetable gardening, forest clean-up, rain barrel construction and maintenance, sustainable building projects, other outdoor work as needed.
                        Requirements:
                        *Interest in environmental sustainability
*Comfort in a Catholic institution (Catholic-identified is not required)
*Physical ability to do strenuous outdoor work
                        *Sense of humor and flexibility
                        *Age 20 or older

If you are ready to live in a rural, intergenerational community and want to spend your summer sweating, we want to hear from you!

For an application or more information, please email Katie Jones, volunteer coordinator.
