What We Do
                      
Volunteer placements are determined on an individual basis.
In the area of direct service, placements have included:

Villa Maria, a transition home for women in El Paso,Texas.
Project WISE, an advocacy program for low-income women in Denver.
The Bridge Project, an after-school enrichment program for children in low-income housing projects in Denver.
 

Other direct service placements have included:
  • teaching in a dual-language elementary school
  • a court diversion project
  • an environmental education program
  • a medical clinic for the homeless
  • emergency assistance centers
 
Those interested in working more directly for social change might
consider the following placements:
The UnitedNations, assisting with Loretto's NGO representative.
Interfaith Voices, assisting with interfaith radio programming in Washington DC.
New Ways Ministry, reaching out to gay and lesbian Catholics
