                        Basic Requirements
                        • Single young adults, ages 21-30
                        • Ability to take initiative
                        • Sense of humor
                        • Maturity and sensitivity
                        • Willingness to commit fully to professional and community life (see below)
                        • College degree is required for some placements.
                        People of all faiths are very welcome, but you must be comfortable in Catholic settings.  People of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome as Loretto Volunteers.

                        *We are proud to partner with the Catholic Volunteer Network and AmeriCorps to offer the $5300 Education Awards to volunteers serving in direct service positions - pending availability.  As members of the AmeriCorps network, members may have access to additional trainings and opportunities.

                        Additional Expectations

                        The Loretto Volunteer experience is more than a job - it's a year of intentional living.  We therefore do ask participants to commit to Program commitments include:
                        • Full-time work at your placement
                        • An investment in home community life [including participation in weekly community nights]
                        • Commitment to personal/spiritual growth and simple living - with help of community, a Loretto mentor, and staff
                        • Regular attendance at monthly (or so) Loretto events and other trainings or events
